AUT Early Childhood Centre

AUT Early Childhood Centre cares for children (from 6 months to 5 years) of students and staff on AUT’s City Campus. This licensed, community based childcare centre is open plan and mixed age, with a separate indoor area for infants and toddlers.  AUT Early Childhood Centre caters for 40 children; 12 of whom can be under 2 years old.

Opening hours

Monday-Friday, 7.30am – 5.15pm
    
The centre is open throughout the year, closing for three weeks over the Christmas period.

Definition of Student Family: A family with one parent in full time study at AUT.  In exceptional circumstances, an approval may be given at the discretion of the centre leader.

* 20 ECE Subsidy – Parent must complete an attestation form, and the 20 subsidised hours are calculated with a maximum of 6 hours per day. 
** Children must attend for five sessions per week, either every morning or every afternoon. Non-attendance of sessions will lead to cancellation of your child’s enrolment

Administration fee

A flat fee of $50 to cover administration for any new enrolment.

Special activity and resource charge

A flat charge of $2 per week per child will be charged to cover all the costs of special activities, resources and events throughout the year, including shows, family gatherings and field trips. This will ensure no further funds are requested through the year for children and their families to participate.
