Peter Harwood Scholarship

The Peter Hardwood Scholarship in Community Leadership and Excellence is to reward leadership qualities and academic excellence. Find out more
Value of award: $6000 towards fees.
No. of awards: Up to five scholarships available annually.

Te Ara Poutama Scholarships (BA Māori Development or BMD Māori Media)

To reward academic excellence and to encourage and support students to undertake full-time study in the areas of Maori Development and Maori Media, Te Ara Poutama, the Faculty of Māori and Indigenous Development is offering undergraduate scholarships (BA Māori Development major and BMD Māori Media). Value of award: $1500 towards fees.
No. of awards: Up to eight new scholarships are awarded annually.

John Tapiata

The John Tapiata Scholarship was established in 1992 to acknowledge the contribution of John Tapiata as the first Tumuaki of Te Ara Poutama and his passion for excellence and Te Reo Māori. Find out more

Mavis Tuoro

The Mavis Tuoro Scholarship was established in 1998 to acknowledge the contribution of Mavis Tuoro to Te Ara Poutama. The scholarship is to encourage Māori scholarship in English or Te Reo Máori at AUT. Find out more
