AUT International student hub - Information sessions to help you plan for further study at AUT. 56 Wakefield St, Corner of St Paul & Wakefield St, City Central

AUT Health & Counselling - Doctors, nurses and counselling. To make an appointment call 09-921-9992 or speak to AUT IH reception.

Speak English during lunchtime – join other students at AUT International House during the lunch hour to speak only in English during this time.

AUT Student Learning Lab – Watch a DVD or listen to a CD. This facility is especially designed for you to get more practise and study of English.  It is in the AUT library.  The opening hours are Monday-Thursday 8.00am-10.00pm. Friday 8.00am-8.00pm and Saturday and Sunday 10.00-6.00pm.   Makes learning fun!

Korean Students Association – to promote Korean culture at AUT and provide an environment for students to interact and socialize. Organised social events.

Muslim Students Association – to promote unity and support among Muslim students at AUT.

Taiwanese and New Zealand Students Association (TANSA)  – to help students to integrate into NZ life as well as maintaining and creating new links with other students on campus. Email:

AUT Chinese Student Association – to help the Chinese speaking students fit in with New Zealand society through organising fun activities, cultural performances, academic workshops and community volunteering work.



AUTSA – Auckland Student Movement. located on Level 2 of the Hikuwai Building (WC – not far from the library), is here to represent you and make your time at AUT as enjoyable as possible. Here you can find all sorts of ways to make study fun and hassle free.
AUTSA offers advocacy, legal information, representation, student media, Student Job Search services, recreational activities, sustainability awareness, clubs and volunteers. AUTSA free feeds are on Mondays at the South Campus, Tuesdays at the North Campus, and Thursdays at the City Campus. Each Wednesday during the University Semester, AUTSA runs markets on the City Campus.
Visit AUTSA office for locker hireage, mobile phone top ups & international calling vouchers, AT concession stickers, binding sale and services, filtered water, student phone & computers to use, phone recharge station, board games, and daily table tennis equipment hireage.
Holiday Accommodation is available at the AUTSA lodge for students who like to ski in the winter or hike the mountains and lakes in summer. It is located in National Park, at the foot of Mt. Ruapehu.

Grievance Procedure

  1. If you have problems with your course, accommodation or your classes, you can speak to the person responsible (your teacher, the Accommodation Co-ordinator or reception).

  2. If the problem is still not solved, the Head of School at AUT International House can deal with it.

  3. If you are still unhappy, you need to write to:
