Seminar: In response to a growing burden of non-communicable diseases such as obesity, several countries have imposed, or are debating, a ‘soda tax’ on drinks with added sugar. The WHO has called on governments to use such fiscal measures, and argues that taxes that raise sugary drink prices at least 20% will lead to proportional reductions in consumption.

Business students win Prime Minister’s scholarship for international exchange programme
Congratulations to Leanne Ho and Serena Low, who have won the Prime Minister’s Scholarship for Asia for their exchange programme in Semester 1, 2017. Leanne has won her scholarship for a semester exchange to Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and Serena for Korea University. Leanne is majoring in Market Insights: Marketing, Advertising, Retailing, Sales and Serena in International Business.
