At AUT's School of Education we are passionate about future-oriented education. In the past, school students needed teachers who could help them master existing knowledge, but today's students need much more than this.
We offer courses for aspiring teachers from early childhood and primary to secondary teaching.
Study education with us to gain sound academic knowledge and also develop essential practical teaching skills. Our bachelor's degrees include 22 weeks of professional practice, and our one-year programmes 15 weeks.
For your placements you will join an early childhood centre or primary school, and experience the classroom and the role of the teacher for yourself. Many of our students are offered jobs during these teaching placements.
