To qualify for the Certificate in Applied Science, a student must achieve 120 points with at least 45 points at level 4 or above.

COMM401 Introduction to Academic Writing (available in Semester 1 and 2)
MATH400 Foundation Mathematics (available in Semester 1 and 2)
STAT400 Foundation Statistics (available in Semester 1 and 2)
LIST B (must be approved by programme leader)
MATH401 Foundation Algebra (available in Semester 1 and 2)
STAT500 Applied Statistics; Prerequisite STAT400 (available in Semester 1 and 2)
CHEM501 Principles of Chemistry; Prerequisite CHEM401 (available in Semester 1)
ECOL501 Ecology and Evolution; Prerequisite ECOL401 (available in Semester 2)
BIOL502 Plants and Animals; Prerequisite BIOL401 (available in Semester 1)
Graduates are prepared for employment in a science-related industry at an entry level position, such as a laboratory assistant or trainee. This foundation programme can also prepare you for undergraduate study in sciences or health science.
